My love of Fender Stratocasters started when I saw Eric Clapton on the back of the Layla record with his 1956 Stratocaster. I went looking for one but I ran across a Gibson Les Paul first and got it instead. I went on to own many Stratocasters over the years from many different eras and now they are the guitars I play every day and at every gig. I’ve learned the strengths and weaknesses of what Fender has done with the Stratocaster over their many years. I set up my guitars to not have to change setting on my amplifier to play everything from Jeff Beck tonality to Jimi Hendrix to a Stevie Ray Vaughan thing because of the versatility of the guitar and the modifications done to the wiring of the guitar.
I am not so much a guitar maker as I am a guitar player, and I make guitars for other guitar players because I believe I know exactly what they like.
My guitars will stand up to what the Fender Custom Shop has to offer for around half the price.
